This is a point that I think bears repeating: segments are not bad, small segments are bad. To say that the 68000 is superior because it has a flat address space is incorrect, what is really meant is that it has a large address space. Although I know little about the 386, I expect that it will have 4 gigabyte segments and that will stop the complaints about its segments. Say, Clif, when is the 386 coming out? Is it still scheduled for the second half of 1985? (i.e. 12/31/85) -- I speak for myself and no one else.
