As for disk drives I highly recommend MSD's SD-2.  I own one of
these dual drive package and I am very glad I purchased this over
the 1541.  The reliability cann't be beat with the SD-2 and it
really works the way a disk drive should.  I would recommend staying
away from the 1541 due to its numerous bugs, alignment problem and
its overheating problems.  

As for the spreadsheet, I too would like to know what others would
recommend; for, I too would like the same features.  If you would
summarize the results and post the net, I for one would be very
greatful.
