I have just posted version 1.0 of my Life program to net.sources.mac.  The 
previous version was 0.0 and, as one might expect, there have been some major
improvements (in the human interface).  As far as I know, this version will
work on the Mac XL.  I blast directly to the screen on the real Mac (unless
in the slow&safe mode) but use QuickDraw on the XL.

The program is reasonably robust, but is crashable especially in low memory
situations.

If anyone comes up with some interesting patterns, please send them to me
(in the form of a LifeResources file) and I will compile and retransmit
to the net.  I assume that this will eventually get to Compuserve and other
nets.
