I learned today from the local Computer Store that the Mac XL is officially
being discontinued on June 1.  Apple had originally planned to time this
for September 1, but sales of the Mac XL have been a bit faster than
anticipated, and the stock has been about sold off.  The new ROM and
MacWorks release are still supposed to arrive in a week or two.  I also
learned that a 20 Mb disk for the Mac will be announced with the new ROMs,
around September 1.  I would label both of these has "highly reliable rumor."
