A year or two ago I remember reading an article on this in Psychology Today. (Please note: PT is not my idea of a scientific journal.) Their data stated that the average heterosexual relationship lasted 7 to 10 years. The average lesbian relationship lasted longer; the average gay male relationship lasted less.
