"Krull" was directed by Peter Yates, produced by Ron Silverman, and photographed by Peter Suschitzky. "Ladyhawke" was produced by Richard Donner and Lauren Shuler, directed by Richard Donner, and photographed by Vittorio Storaro. The writers weren't the same, either. I'd say that the similarity comes from people who know (and in some cases, care) little about fantasy trying to make a few bucks. (Actually, Donner worked very hard to get "Ladyhawke" made, so I imagine he cared very much about it.) -- Peter Reiher reiher@ucla-cs.arpa {...ihnp4,ucbvax,sdcrdcf}!ucla-cs!reiher
