Was the nuclear blast at the end of the film stock footage or some
sort of effect?  It didn't look at all like the grainy stock footage
nuclear explosions of seen in the past.... yet that kind of effect
seems WAY beyond the budget and technical prowess of a film like this.

Ideas?
