Liszt also transcribed the Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique
for solo piano - probably the most monumental transcription
of all time.  I'm always looking for the score
(seems it was last printed in the 1800's, and is not even included
in the so-called "complete" liszt editions).
Biret has a recording of it - it's totally insane, and really fun.
