Sorry, I said 60% of the economy is in public hands; that should be *private*
hands.   The Sandinista's have publicly committed themselves to a mixed
economy.  The reaction of Soviet officials to charges of "Marxist" Sandinistas
is laughter.   To them, the Sandinistas are reformists and bourgeois social
democrats.
