(Since the 8'th day of pesach was on a shabbos, we read the appropriate pesach torah reading. However, since pesach is only 7 days in Isreal, it was a "normal" shabbos reading of shemini) I'm told we will reconcile at parshas behar-bechukosai since in Isreal they will be separated. Does anyone know who set up this order? Is this part of Hillel's original calendar setup? Also why not separate tazria-mezorah or achare-kedoshim rather than behar-bechukosai? What criteria are used? Why isn't uniformity more important than relevance of parsheos? Barry Siegel
