     Caveat: Jerry Pournelle is a friendly acquaintance of mine.  We've
exchanged letters for a few years, and we've gotten together for drinks and
computer gossip at the last two Worldcons.  Thus, you should read the
following review knowing that I am naturally biased towards one of the
editors.

     I do not recommend this book.
