The equivalent to this has happend to me three times. Once the other person moved to a city 4 hrs. away and so we would still see each other ~twice/month. However, the other two people moved to Europe! Of these latter two, one is probably the person I've felt closest to, ever, so her moving away was in a sense a serious drag. But, (and I hate to admit this) it was only after she moved away that I truly realized the depth of our relationship. I have been to see her a couple of times in the years since she moved away, and each visit was more special than the previous; in fact I would even call them high points in my life. The way I look at this is that our lives are on different roads and there's not much one can do about that, if you want to be yourself. But I continually hope that one day our roads will cross again, and maybe we might be able to get together for good. Meanwhile, I frequently think how special it was to be with her and that I was lucky to have such an experience. And I hope I see her again before too long. -- Joe Arceneaux Lafayette, LA {akgua, ut-sally}!usl!jla
