You see, I was out tonight and no one would dance with me (*sigh*). I can un- derstand why -- it seems that most of the people who were there were with some- one, but I was alone. I saw your typical women with boyfriends who wouldn't dance with them, who just sort of hung around them and watched them drink beer, and I saw women who came to dance with other women. Well, I can accept all this, but I don't think I'm going out alone anymore. It's too expensive to sit around and watch everyone else enjoying themselves. Also, I could be sleeping. I might take up disco rollerskating again. Is anyone into that? Five summers ago, I spent at least 3 (and as many as 5) nights a week disco rollerskating. It's fun, you can do it by yourself, or with friends, or with an SO. I had some friends to go rollerskating with. We used to skate to the rhythm of the music. When you can skate fast, and make it look like you are dancing, and then skate backwards and do jumps and turnarounds and other acrobatics, it really looks good. I even would go alone just to practice, but it's much better going in a group. We used to dress up in the same clothing and skate in a line, so people would think of us as a group. Those were some fun times. In case you're wondering where this place is, it's Spinoff in Boston. Great place, at least it was 5 summers ago. Any Bostonians still go there? -- She's on fire, 'cause dancin' takes her higher than anything else she knows! Greg Skinner (gregbo) {allegra,cbosgd,ihnp4}!houxm!gregbo gregbo%houxm.uucp@harvard.arpa
