Science Center Lines: 19 I assume that I'm not the only one that saw yesterdays disaster (Reds 14 Mets 2). As a fan of Joe Sambito from his days in Houston, I was happy to see him with the Mets (they need another stopper to set up Orosco, especially if Sisk is going to be questionable). My question for you in netland, is did the Mets really give him a chance?? Yes he walked 2, but if Hernandez hadn't made a rare blunder on a double-play ball, he would have gotten them out of that dissastorous inning without any more damage. Furthermore, at that point, why should the Mets bring in Schiraldi (sp?) when he could be a much needed starter, when you still have Gormon in the bullpen, and the game has already been all but lost? I really would have liked to see Johnson stay with Sambito for a couple more batters. Ohh well, I actually watched ALL the runs come in. -- Ron Samuels Harvard University Science Center ...harvard!h-sc1!samuels (or better yet) ...harvard!h-sc4!samuels_b
