Speakin as a citizen of a country with a lesser currency, I am looking for bargains in entertainment (less important) and bargains in accomadation (very important!) I would only need accomodation Friday and Saturday night, so weekend specials would probably be good, but might there be some bed and breakfast in Manhatten? -- ~~ Mike Upmalis (mupmalis@watarts) /* ---------- */ Hello Mike: I hope this helps... As a New Yorker and working for New York University you might want to check the following for accomodations-- The Auto Club of New York (AAA) They have many listings. Also, The YMHA on East 92st and the YMCA on East 47st each have housing facilities on the inexpensive side and are pleasant enough. Their are many other Hotels in the $60 Dollar range but you"ll do better with the above! For Entertainment -- check out the TCKTS stand on Broadway and 44st for half price tickets of Broadway Shows for the same day. Best Buy in New York. Also check with your travel agent they usually have fantastic specials for visitors.
