(I personally do not believe this. I actually saw a benchmark comparison of ultrix vs 4.2 on same configuration. ULTRIX rated 15-20% faster. I will try to find the source of this bencmark amongst my great heap of journals..) o It is best to get ULTRIX on source level, for maximum sanity. o It appears that DEC ultrix group, with their infinite whizdom, removed the fork() call. I am not yet sure of the significance of this. o Ultrix includes a MODULA-2 compiler. It is also rumored to have DECNET support. According to my knowledge, ULTRIX 1.1 is not yet released.
