    I need help finding or creating a Unix program which will read VMS BACKUP
format tapes. The VMS manuals have been of some help insofar as I have been
able to pickout, by hand, several of the different blocks and records
described. However, recognizing these little guys is a far cry from doing
something useful with them. 

    Any help/relief in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
