The hooker in the project is a requirement to maintain backward compatibility with IBM (to as large a degree as possible). The program involved makes heavy use of COMPLEX numbers (we're engineers after all!!!), which appears to be one of the major stumbling blocks. Now for the questions: 1) Is there any one out there with experience in the type of task who might be willing to share their thoughts and war stories? 2) Does anyone know of a preprocessor for VMS-PL/I to deal with IBM code incompatibilities? 3) Does anyone know of ANY tools available (DECUS or otherwise, even for $) to aid in this kind of conversion. Thanks in advance for your help!!! Al Baldwin AT&T-Bell Labs HR-1B-316 480 Red Hill Road Middletown, N.J. 07748 ...!ihnp4!hou2d!afb3 [These opinions are my own....Who else would want them!!!]
