She says, (and I have seen elsewhere) that better than 95% of violent crimes are committed by males; females are more likely to be victims. The situation is such that many women feel that they cannot expect to go out alone (safely) after a certain time of day. (If you don't believe this is true, take an informal poll of the women you know - ask them whether they carry something sharp like a fork, pen, or keys in a clenched fist when they have to walk through a parking lot after dark.) This is, in effect, a curfew. My sister contends that a curfew for men should be instituted as this would drastically reduce violent crime. let men out when willingly accompanied by a woman.
