These are big, black clunky boots with a strap across the instep. They also have relatively high heels, to dig into the mud or hillside with. They were also very comfortable. I think the uncomfortable part of women's heels is probably not that they are high but that they are narrows, which makes the ankles twist resulting in a wobble. Herman Silbiger
