I'm sure this must have been solved before...

I need the ability to take a username and a password and verify that
the password is correct for the given username.  I need this for BOTH
VMS 3.7 and VMS 4.x (we still haven't switched to VMS 4 for various
reasons).  I know exactly where (in the fiche) VMS does this at login
time.  But, we don't have the appropriate object libraries on the disk
(DEC doesn't distribute that particular object library), so I can't use
the same code.

Does anyone have some stuff that will do this for me?
