In both cases there were occurences of awkward character spacing within a word. The instances that I recall all involved spacing around the letter "o". I don't know what version of the software was involved in either case, but there are spacing problems. I use Scribe and an Imagen printer for my regular printing, and will agree that the current CMR/AMR fonts are not the most beautiful available. However, I have not noticed the same sort of spacing errors. (Of course, Scribe does not appear handle ligatures, but that's another story.) -- Rich -------
