It was not used in the test, but I had taken it along. I got out my scratched CD's and rubbed them with a finger as some genius advised here on the net. One plays right thru with nary a glitch. The other simply tics a bit as it goes thru the worst of the scratch. I now have a CD that simulates a record for a few seconds at least. This could be the result of the finger rub or machine to machine variation between players. Anywhich, it leaves me feeling much better.
