State University, Raleigh Lines: 11 I believe you have an electric fan that is supposed to come on when the engine is hot. Have you checked the operation of that fan (some intelligent devices like thermostats and temperature actuated fans have a way of getting stupid with age)? Also, did you check the fluid level in the radiator - I don't mean the coolant saver bottle, I mean the actual radiator? I have had one of those bottles lie to me.
