I posted that insurance companies charge higher rates for red cars.  
I got my information from a clerk in an insurance office.  It turns
out that although my information was correct, it was also incomplete.
The insurance companies that get down to the color of the car are
those that insure sub-standard drivers.  The companies will insure
most any living person driving most any movable vehicle for a price
that looks like a down-payment on a house.  The people who buy this
insurance are those most likely to collect on it, hence the rates.
