Replacement cost at Car-X or Midas is $130-170 with a lifetime guarantee on the parts (not the labor). One of the Car-X struts went bad again at 55K miles...replacement cost for both struts was $60. This may seem like frequent strut replacement, but my Pinto ^&@%$&^ shocks went bad every 20K miles. The current set of struts seem to be holding up nicely. P.S. $500 for struts is really outrageous!!! I called a dealer here and they wanted ~$300.
