You know, since coming to the US I've started to wonder how we British ever managed to drive anywhere, now that I've been informed of the total unreliability of our electrical systems :-) As for carburettors, I'll stand a properly-tuned S.U. or Stromberg against a temperamental FoMoCo gadget any day.
