Message-ID: <709@dedalus.UUCP> Date: Wed, 15-May-85 13:24:37 EDT Article-I.D.: dedalus.709 Posted: Wed May 15 13:24:37 1985 Date-Received: Sun, 19-May-85 06:30:30 EDT Organization: Wm. Daniel & Assoc., Cary, N.C. Lines: 18 Here's an unusual problem that has finally begun to bother me enough to do something about it: my 82 RX7 GS makes a strange depressurizing noise when I stop and shut the engine off. It only happens during hot weather (unrelated to air-conditioning) and seems to be coming from the rear of the car. The best way to describe it is as a sort of whining, escaping air noise. It generally lasts only a few (10 or so) seconds. I do know that the fuel system tends to generate suction, but I don't think it is related. I've never heard other RX7s make the same noise. Mine has done it pretty much since I got it in '82. Any suggestions? I'll listen to about anything. Sorry if this was posted twice. Our Cadmus dropped it on the floor the first time. Thanks, Steve Holzworth mcnc!ikonas!dedalus!sch
