As the world now knows, it was Karma.  It avails me nothing to say I
had guessed, but wasn't sure, since I only get by net.comics every once
in a while.  However ... an earlier hint that Karma's fate would be
revealed this ish strengthened that, even as uses of the male pronoun
in the previous ish (look it up!) strengthened doubts.

Hope that the NM's can rescue her, but have this feeling they can't.
Not least because her personality is quite changed, and she will not
want to be "rescued."
