	The center fan really does an excellent job. Much better than
	any hood type that I have ever seen! As with the hood type, they
	are noisy. I've never used a gas barbeque so I can't respond to
	your last question. However, the grill is removable and the
	griddle that fits in there is very large. A nice feature when
	you want a lot of evenly heated griddle space!
