Speaking of stupid... my friendly Honda dealer and I once spent
a great deal of time and ingenuity on this particular problem
before we realized that the grips have ***two different internal
diameters*** (to accomodate the throttle sleeve, you know), and that
we were trying to force the left grip onto the right handlebar.
