Fishing worms vary from place to place, too: nightcrawlers here in Oregon, dew worms up in Canada. (There are VERY cruel means to collect these poor critters; hunters zap their habitat with electricity and nab them when they try to escape). But slip-on rubber sandals take the cake: thongs, zoris, flipperfloppers, slip-ons (underpants for women used to be step-ins, by the way)--and I'm sure there are more.
