It's to keep you on your toes. I don't disagree with you. Drivers, as a group, are a lower form of life. I'm of the "I wish I didn't need a car in this society" (because of the risk) persuasion. I have a car and on many occasions have entertained Arndt-ian ideas on what to do with those individuals who clearly pose a threat to the populace with their driving habits. I have sworn at them, threatened to sue them for stupidity and even asked God for a one and only one wish. This did nothing other than raise my blood pressure and further increase the risks to my life (to say nothing of the 1 in 133 chance of being murdered in the next [for me] 45 years). To decrease my blood pressure and allow me to lead a happier life, I just say "Joke It". I accept that every time I get on the road someone is trying to kill me. That way I'm never surprised and, often, happy when I get home because I feel I got away with something. /DLL
