Another person (?) who's made the mistake of identifying a good flame with abusive language (actually, this seems to be becoming quite a feature of submissions from ut-sally!). For the edification of pso@ut-sally, a good flame should begin by questioning the ideological credentials of the flamee. Once sufficient momentum has been built up, it might then launch into fundamental issues regarding the flamee's ancestry, e.g. the marital status of the flamee's parents, grandparents &c., their sexual preferences (routine references to normal sex, as above, have become rather trite, so novelty is encouraged, e.g. "your grandfather slept with a porcupine"), etc. It might conclude by questioning any purpose served by the continued existence of the flamee. Throughout, logic and rational thought are to be carefully avoided (I notice pso@ut-sally has this part down pat). As the subject line mentions, this is merely a gentle remonstration, not a flame. -- Saumya Debray SUNY at Stony Brook uucp: {allegra, hocsd, philabs, ogcvax} !sbcs!debray arpa: debray%suny-sb.csnet@csnet-relay.arpa CSNet: debray@sbcs.csnet
