These reserved spots are not there to make disabled people feel better or placate them politically. They are there because people with physical disabilities [especially those in wheelchairs] cannot get around as easily as others do, once they are out of their cars. So these reserved spots are usually closer to the stores, the arena, the stadium, etc etc. Also these reserved spots have extra room - this allows the driver who uses a wheelchair to open his car door wide, otherwise he can't get his/her wheelchair in between the parked cars to open the car door and get in the vehicle. So stay out of these spots - unless you really need them. Dee Jay Bee
