Have you tried telling them to move on to the next hole? Or maybe waiting by their hole and clobbering them with a golph club? (Just joking folks- no flames from animal lovers!) Seriously, I seem to recall a discussion on the elimination of small pests (gophers, etc.) on the net some time ago. Perhaps someone saved a copy, and could send it to you.
