The male defendant was arrested for offering to give the male undercover sheriff's deputy who arrested him a blow job for $25 (in 1978). (The solicitation took place on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, for those who know L.A.) His last name was Semaan (he was Lebanese), which I would assume would be pronounced "seh-MAHN" or "seh-mah'ahn".
