(This isn't worth a flame) The song "Me and Bobby McGee" was written by Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster. So it says on the label of my Gorden Lightfoot record and so I believe. It is (in case you care) the only song on the album "Sit Down Young Stranger" NOT written by Lightfoot. It is also the only recording I know of where the person singing calls the town 'salIness' instead of 'salEness'.
