There's a hardware/software package for IBM PC's and clones called 10-net.
It runsEthernet protocols on a twisted pair making a much less expensive
installation. Has remote virtual disks, printers, mail, etc, at a cost
of $750 per machine. This is not an endorsement. I havn't used it,
but I'm interested.
