I've noticed that some local book stores use the UPC information to generate your sales receipt, etc. Now imagine you've paid for your books with a credit card....yes, you see my point. Do I want a database to list all the book I've purchased, and in particular whether I've bought a few TOO MANY books about nuclear policy and/or Central America and/or anything else? No I don't, and neither do you. -- Don Porges ...harpo!inmet!porges ...hplabs!sri-unix!cca!ima!inmet!porges ...yale-comix!ima!inmet!porges
