I have a friend who is a maintenance chief for the navy at Miramar naval air station. He says that the navy will not allow wd-40 to be used because of its corrosive actions. I have personaly noted some things on my watch buttons that verify the statement. I personally use wd-40 to free up stuck things (and it does do a good job) but then I make sure I clean and reoil the part affected. Ted milnet address "medin@nosc"
