The benchmark came in at 41 sec when the CPU was running at 8 Mhz and 35 sec when the CPU was running at 10 Mhz. Since I have a 10 Mhz 8086-1 (the fastest Intel produces commercially) and the AT's basic interpreter is inefficient, I claim victory.
