(Downloading BASIC programs from BYTENET) Message-ID: <277@wuphys.UUCP> Date: Wed, 15-May-85 13:16:24 EDT Article-I.D.: wuphys.277 Posted: Wed May 15 13:16:24 1985 Date-Received: Fri, 17-May-85 00:53:22 EDT Distribution: net Organization: Physics Dept., Washington Univ. in St. Louis Lines: 23 I recently downloaded a BASIC program from BYTENET onto a C64. The problem is this. The program ended up in an ASCII sequential-type file. I cannot get it loaded to run in this form. Looking at other BASIC programs on the disc, I saw that they were of type "PROGRAM". So, I read the sequential file into another file of type "PROGRAM", one line at a time. This produced garbage. (GIGO?). So, what do I do now? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Mark F.
