I suppose you could just use a microphone and have your Mac translate for you over short wave radio. One neat feature is that you can Paste text from the clipboard and have it sent automatically. If you thought 300 baud was slow -- I "played" a few paragraphs from the clipboard and figured out it was "sending" them at about a 10 baud rate.
