The telegraph DA recently posted allows you to type while it sends
international code (you know - dit dit dah dah) over the speaker.  I suppose
you could just use a microphone and have your Mac translate for you over
short wave radio.  One neat feature is that you can Paste text from the
clipboard and have it sent automatically.

If you thought 300 baud was slow -- I "played" a few paragraphs from the
clipboard and figured out it was "sending" them at about a 10 baud rate.
After that was over a 300 baud terminal seems to run like 98 kilabaud.
