Lines: 7 To respond to the question about "Bladerunner" as film noir, I would have to say, "yes, and successfully." Everything about the film fit that genre: the introspective, anti- hero protagonist; the beautiful, mysterious woman; the extreme griminess of the city; the pervasive undertone of danger; the uncertain ending (how long do they have?). Color is not a danger to film noir if it is kept subtle.
