It maintains a constant dv/dt in five dimensions, of which four are observable. Given two possibilities, perfect and imperfect, we exist in the imperfect realm. We observe time to be perpendicular to the inertial frame, although it is actually an arbitrary combination of four dimensions, whose propagation through the fifth dimension remains constant.
