I have always felt that there are complementary roles for both government and private enterprise in space. An excellent, insightful article by Stephen L. Gillett on this point appears on page 20 of the May 1985 issue of the L-5 News. I defer to it for a far better answer than I could write myself to those who think "free enterprise" by itself will make wondrous and magical things happen in space. Phil
