What do people out there in net.land think of the equipment panels/displays on the Excelsior? I think the flat panels are visually uninteresting, as compared to the Enterprise and Reliant bridges (although it is true that the similarities between the Enterprise and Reliant bridges is, of course, inevitable, due to the fact that the latter set is a redress of the former) with their informative graphic, pictorial and flowing design. It created a visually pleasing atmosphere, and added to the sense of busyness and crampedness that one would experience on a mere (!) 190,000 Ton craft. I feel that it would be a loss to try to set any type of action in the sterile bridge of the Excelsior.
