I just thought I would mention that you may well find a lot more info, especially for a preliminary check of an area (which you can then follow-up with a net query if you want) in your local public library. My wife has been interested in checking out North Carolina for evetual retirement living, and had a good experience staying at a Bed & Breakfast place in Asheville with her sister on a trip last year. (Flint Street Inn, if you care...) Anyway, in preparation for her next trip, I took a look at the open-shelved books in the St. Louis Public Library, and found at least ten guides to Bed & Breakfast places that included that region; some were admittedly a couple years or more old, but quite a few were 1984 copyright, and I think one 1985. This isn't a particularily richly-funded library system, so if I can find such an assortment here, you should be able to find a reasonable assortment of such books in your own locality's public libraries. This is in addition to the usual travel guide books, guidebooks, etc. Regards, Will
