B&B info wanted Message-ID: <2816@drutx.UUCP> Date: Fri, 17-May-85 16:11:12 EDT Article-I.D.: drutx.2816 Posted: Fri May 17 16:11:12 1985 Date-Received: Sun, 19-May-85 05:39:33 EDT Organization: AT&T Information Systems Laboratories, Denver Lines: 29 - I just purchased the "Bed and Breakfast U.S.A." ("Bed & Breakfast USA, A guide to Tourist Homes and Guest Houses, by Betty Revits Rundback and Nancy Kramer, Tourist House Association of America, E. P. Dutton, Inc., New York) guide that covers all 50 states and Canada. It lists B&Bs by state, and within state, by region. Each B&B is given a brief description ranging from the physical layout to prices to smoking, pet, and children policies of the B&B listed. I have made two bookings from it thus far, but have not actually been to the B&B facilities described therein, so I cannot testify to the guide's accuracy. It also lists regional centralized B&B booking agencies, if there are any for the area of interest. For California, the central agency is: Hospitality Plus, PO Box 388, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92693 (714)-496-7050. From the guide (without permission), page 55: "Deborah's computerized service has access to over 1,000 B&Bs throughout California and in other states. Her specialty is plan- ning complete coastal, mountain, and desert tours, staying at B&Bs all the way. Visit Yosemite where your host will lend you a bike; or stay in Honolulu, one block from the beach, with a third- generation Hawaiian family. No matter what your price range, special attention will be given to your needs." ----------------------------------------------------------------- Paul Given {ihnp4, houxe, stcvax!ihnp4}!drutx!pagiven AT&T Information Systems Laboratories 11900 N.
